• Compelled by the Holy Spirit and the nearly seven million souls of the Greater Houston area, we lay before God’s kingdom the simple yet currently challenging plan that will lay a foundation to stand for generations, so this church will be a beacon of light and hope for the 4th largest city in the United States.  We believe that with the faith, hope and love of our Great Creator, victory is sure.  Thus, we vow with all our heart to fight with all the resources our God has given us to complete these tasks.  As in the spirit of Nehemiah 9:38, “In view of all this we are making a binding agreement, putting it in writing, and our leaders…affixing their seals to it.”

This is what we commit before the presence of God and Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead:

    1. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.” (II Corinthians 1:9) First and foremost, as a church family we must grow and transform in our reliance on God. There is dramatic room for improvement in our quiet times and reverence for God if we plan to transform personally and as a congregation this year. By drawing near to God, we will see transforming miracles in 2017!

    2. In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity. For I testify that they gave as much as they were able, and even beyond their ability.”(II Corinthians 8:2-3) Our goal is to supersede our May Special Missions goal of $26,100 to continue to support world missions and the planting of churches around the world.

    3. “So the churches were strengthened in the faith and grew daily in numbers.” (Acts 16:5) We want to transform our growth numerically for God. Our vision and faith is to grow to 100 disciples by the end of the year. We are faithful that God will bless our efforts as we transform in our prayer and evangelism every day.

    4. They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” (Acts 2:42)  Our goal is to have at least one campus devotional, singles retreat, and combined congregational service with the Dallas International Christian Church.

    5. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace.” (Colossians 1:6)  Our prayer and goal is to have at least six disciples attend our first international Global Leadership Conference in Manila, Philippines for amazing faith-building and training.

    6. Our final prayer goal is for every disciple to have their own transforming prayer goals! What are your personal impossible prayer goals? Write them down, pray about them, and share them with each other. At the end of the year we will all be able to reflect and celebrate the miracles that God does in the church and in our lives in 2017.
